The busiest week of the year in Ponte Vedra Beach. Same-day turnovers for rentals, a suit back for a dinner, and the one thing you cannot leave until Thursday.
Every March, TPC Sawgrass turns Ponte Vedra Beach into a different town for a week. THE PLAYERS Championship fills the rentals, the restaurants and the roads, and anyone who hosts, rents out a guest suite or simply has family staying discovers the same thing at the same moment: laundry does not scale on demand.
This is not a complicated problem, but it is a scheduling one. Here is how we would plan it.
If you rent your place out
Tournament week is when turnovers stack up. Guests check out in the morning and new ones arrive in the afternoon, often for a two or three night stay rather than a week, which means more changeovers per house than any other week of the year.
Three things make that survivable:
- Book the pickups before the week starts, not during it. Our windows are 9 to 11 AM and 6 to 9 PM, seven days a week, and in that particular week they fill.
- Use Same-Day for the tight turns. $65 for up to 15 lbs, then $2.75 a pound, collected in the morning and back that evening — a set of queen sheets is about four to five pounds, so one changeover sits comfortably inside the included weight.
- Build a second set of linen. The cheapest insurance against a same-day turn going wrong is owning enough sheets that one set can be in the wash while the other is on the bed.
We coordinate with whoever cleans the unit, so you do not have to be on the property for the handover. If you run several units, ask for a quote rather than paying the list price on each.
If you have people staying with you
Four house guests for five days is roughly double your normal volume, arriving all at once at the end of the week. Towels and bedding are the heavy part: a bath towel is a pound and a half to two pounds, a set of queen sheets four to five.
Wash & fold is $45 for up to 15 lbs, then $2.50 a pound, back in 24 to 48 hours. A guest week usually lands between 30 and 50 pounds, which is one pickup rather than four loads in your own machine while you would rather be out.

Five days outdoors in Florida in March produces more laundry than most people pack for. Three things come up every year:
Clothes you did not pack enough of
Wash & fold at the rental or the hotel: $45 for up to 15 lbs, back in 24 to 48 hours, collected and returned at the door or the front desk. You do not need to be there.
Something for an evening
A jacket out of a suitcase does not look like a jacket out of a closet. Dry cleaning in this zone is per item: a suit jacket $15, a 2-piece suit $25, a dress $20, a blouse $15, a formal dress $39, shirts and polos $10. No minimum.
The catch is timing, and it is the one thing you cannot fix on the day. Dry cleaning is never same-day here, and we do not quote a return date at pickup — we confirm it once the pieces are ready. If you need a jacket for Saturday evening, it goes out at the start of the week, not Thursday.
Wet and sandy everything
Rain delays, a round in the wet, towels, swimwear. Do not leave any of it in a closed bag in a warm car — tell us at pickup that something is damp and we keep it apart rather than let it sit.

Add the gate code or the access instructions when you book — in tournament week especially, a driver who cannot get in is a pickup that does not happen.

Can I get a suit dry cleaned during the week itself?
